I loved that Tubingen is a small university city, the perfect size for Erasmus and an experience different to what we have at home. It's a beautiful old town surrounded by nature too which I loved in winter and summer. These factors were reasons why I wanted to go there and reasons I loved my time there. The best part of being a student in Tubingen however, was undoubtedly the friends I made there.

What surprised me most about my exchange was how well-organised it was while still allowing a lot of student independence. I also loved how well-structured and human-centric the city was. Transit was made for people and families, same with public facilities like libraries, government buildings, student cafes. The 'right to nature' was also a wonderful Finnish phenomenon to experience.

I chose my host university because of the uniqueness of the country as well as the opportunity it gave me to learn Latin American Spanish. I really enjoyed the welcoming environment that the students and professors at the university provided, as I really felt I was integrated.

I was surprised by how student-friendly the neighborhood surrounding my university was, and how much school spirit Yonsei had. While Seoul could seem to be an overwhelmingly large city at times, the accessibility to student clubs and organizations and general feeling of community made Seoul feel like home.
