Peter Reynolds, Chief Financial Officer

Peter joined Trinity in January 2019 having previously worked with Eir where he was Group Finance Director.  Peter is a chartered accountant with over 20 years senior financial management and corporate finance experience. He started his career with PWC, working in Dublin and Switzerland. The Chief Financial Officer provides strategic leadership to Trinity on all financial strategy, management and investment matters as they relate to the running of the university.

Louise Ryan, Deputy Chief Financial Officer & Director of Financial Services

Louise Ryan was appointed as Deputy Chief Financial Officer & Director of Financial Services in the Financial Service Division (FSD) in May 2014, having previously held the position of Director in KPMG Restructuring since May 2010. As a member of the FSD senior management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Louise is principally responsible for the management of the operations of the Financial Services Division, reporting the financial position and performance of the University as well as leading out on strategic initiatives. Louise reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Louise qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG, holds a B.B.S. from Trinity College and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Deirdre Savage, Director of Financial Planning & Risk Management

Deirdre Savage was appointed Director of Financial Planning & Risk Management in 2014 having held a number of key positions in the Financial Services Division during her career in Trinity. As a member of the FSD senior management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Deirdre is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide Trinity with the appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance. Deirdre routinely communicates financial and operational performance trends (historical and forecasted) and outlines movements, risk analysis, required actions and strategic implications to the relevant University Committees. In addition, she is tasked with the oversight and review of all FSD external and internal communications through the Service Liaison Officer. Deirdre reports directly to the Interim Chief Financial Officer.

Deirdre qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1997 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland.

Áine Mulcahy, Finance Operations Manager

Áine was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 2004. Prior to joining the University, Áine was the Finance Director for Usit Ireland. As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Áine is principally responsible for Financial Operations and specifically the management of Accounts Payable, Taxation and Accounts Receivable.

Áine qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers in Dublin and holds a B.Comm degree, a Masters of Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Ben Hartnett, Procurement Manager

Ben was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 1999. Prior to joining Trinity, Ben worked in Hewlett-Packard and ALPS Electric.  As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Ben is principally responsible for the delivery of Trinity's Procurement Strategy and the management of procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing and supplier management.

Ben qualified in Business Studies (Marketing), holds a Masters in Public Procurement and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and supply.

Elaine Sharkey, Projects Accounting Manager (Capital and Research)

Elaine was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 2008 becoming Deputy Projects Accounting Manager in 2015 and Projects Accounting Manager in March 2018. Prior to joining the University, Elaine worked in MCPS-PRS Alliance Ltd. As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Elaine is primarily tasked with managing Trinity’s post award financial administration of its Research and Capital project’s portfolio. Elaine is a qualified Management Accountant and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Anne-Marie Moran, Group Financial Manager

Anne-Marie was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 2012, becoming Head of Financial Reporting in 2015. Prior to joining Trinity, Anne-Marie held a number of finance positions in the professional services sector including Finance Manager in PwC. As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Anne-Marie is principally responsible for the management of the Management & Financial Accounting team and all aspects of Management and Financial reporting.

Anne-Marie is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a Diploma in International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS).

Keith Creedon, Financial Planning & Risk Manager

Keith was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 2005. Prior to joining Trinity, Keith worked across a range of industries ranging from health insurance to technology start-ups. As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Keith is principally responsible for the management of Trinity’s financial planning and cashflow forecasting.

Keith is a qualified Management Accountant and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He holds a B.Comm degree and an MBA.

Paul Coote, Project Appraisal Manager

Paul was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 2008. Prior to joining Trinity, Paul held the role of Head of Finance in JCDecaux Ireland. As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Paul is principally responsible for producing timely, accurate and relevant project appraisal and assessment information required for strategic and operational decision making.

Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers in Dublin and holds a B.Comm degree, a Diploma in Professional Accounting and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Donal Milne, Financial Information Systems Manager

Donal was appointed by the Financial Services Division in 2018. Donal joined the University with extensive experience across the full technology stack (Applications, Infrastructure, Operations) which included working in the IT industry as a qualified Electronic Engineer. Prior to Trinity, Donal was Head of Applications and Support for Bord Na Mona. As a member of the FSD management team tasked with achieving the University’s strategic objectives, Donal is responsible for the management, support and over all technology strategy for our Financial Information Systems.

Donal holds a B.Eng. degree in Electronics and a Cert Diploma in Project Management with the Institute of Project Managers in Ireland.
