Financial Information System (FIS) Roles

We currently have two vacancies in the Financial Information System team.

 

Oracle Business Intellegence Developer

The FIS team seeks to recruit a BI Developer as a Technical Lead on the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of the BI suite of reports in Oracle. This highly technical role is critical to the to meet the University’s reporting requirements and increasing need for accurate timely financial data, integrated with wider University data sets to support the strategic decision-making process at executive level. The successful person would enjoy a high degree of autonomy and will be expected to make a dynamic and strategic contribution as part of the FIS team.

 

FIS Application & Technical Support Specialist

The FIS Application & Technical Support Specialist will report to the FIS Support Helpdesk Team Lead and will have direct responsibility for front line support, resolving all assigned tickets fully, including second line issue investigation and resolution within Oracle EBS (including Business Intelligence (BI/OBIEE/OBIA) issues). It is expected that the FIS Application & Technical Support Specialist will have the necessary specialist technical, system and business process knowledge to solve 70% of end-user issues themselves. In owning tickets from creation to issue resolution, the post holder will liaise with all stakeholders, up to and including raising Service Requests (SRs) with Oracle if required.
