The Trinity Economics Department sponsored an Economics of Pensions Award, which was won by Eoin Larkin from Dundalk Grammar School.  The project explores the economic implications of the recently introduced pension auto-enrolment scheme, MyFutureFund, which increases coverage to those previously underrepresented in private pension schemes.

The winner of the overall competition was Swasti Sahoo from Adamstown Community College, Lucan, Co. Dublin, who proposed personal carbon allowances as an alternative to carbon taxation. Focussing on AI and its implications for the Irish economy, the winner of the award for Best Display was Robert Andrews of Sutton Park School.

Altogether, the event showcased an outstanding cohort of upcoming students, many of whom we hope to see here in the near future.
