The announcement was made at the Society’s annual conference at Wadham College, Oxford on 26 March 2026, where Professor Matthews delivered a Presidential Address on Agricultural Policy in an Age of Upheaval.
The Agricultural Economics Society aims to promote knowledge in relation to agricultural and food production, natural resources, the bioeconomy, and rural development. The society also aims to connect academics, professionals, policy makers, and industry representatives.
