Congratulations to PhD student Lorenzo Cavaglia, who has received the Dermot McAleese Teaching Assistant Award for the Department of Philosophy. Mackenzie was proposed by Dr Nicola Fontana and Michael Wycherley for his teaching on Mathematical and Statistical Methods A & B.
Lorenzo`s research focuses on political economy and migration, particularly around immigrant integration and labour market outcomes.
The awards, named in honour of the late Professor Dermot McAleese, former Whately Professor of Political Economy, are now in their 15th year. Each recipient receives €500 and a commemorative medal.
