Denis received a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronic Systems Engineering from the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT), in 2010. He then went on to receive a MEng in Electronic Engineering (Biomedical Systems Major) from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (NUIM). Biography
After working for a number of years in a startup medical device company in Dublin, where he helped them to achieve both ISO 13485 and CE certification, Denis undertook a PhD in Neurorehabilitation under the supervision of Dr. Edmund Lalor at Trinity College Dublin (TCD).
Denis' main area of research is on exploiting audio-tactile multisensory integration for the optimisation of cochlear implant performance in spectrotemporally complex acoustic environments.
