Dublin University Cycling and Triathlon Club can trace its origins to the 19th century. While we no longer host races around College Park nor ride penny farthings, the club has come a long way since then.

DUCC was revived in 2010, and though in its current form is one of College’s younger clubs, we pride it on being one of College’s friendliest and most welcoming sports clubs.
A few years ago the cycling and triathlon club joined forces and now combine both sports under its umbrella.

We are an all-inclusive club, catering for riders and triathletes of all abilities and disciplines. Activities include weekday road cycling spins and longer spins on the weekend which generally include a coffee stop along the way!

New to the sport? No problem! Indoor spinning classes taken once a week in the Sports Centre and are a great way to build up fitness for the road/ trails! The club also offers rental bikes for those wishing to try out cycling!

For those interested in triathlon, a lane is booked in the College pool for training a few mornings each week. Day trips to mountain bike parks take place throughout the year, with the club linking up with UL’s MTB club!

For those who are more interested in road racing, DUCC is officially affiliated with Cycling Ireland, with members currently registered in the A2 to A4 categories. DUCC encourages members who wish to race by subsidising racing licences and our more experienced members are more than happy to offer advice and support to new racers!
