Research topic : The Attitudes and Social Background of Parliamentarians

My research aims to identify the division of attitudes within European legislatures and the extent to which these divisions are shaped by the social characteristics of the individual members. In addition to the traditional independent variables of similar studies such as gender, age and occupation, my project focuses on legislators who have some element of migration in their socialisation experience; whether they personally immigrated to the host country or were born in the host country to immigrant parents.
