Miasma - A Play by Colin Murphy and Verdant Productions

Miasma, a play by Colin Murphy and Verdant Productions, will have two showings in the Old Anatomy Theatre in Trinity on Friday, April 17th, at 2pm and 6pm. 
 
This gripping one-hour detective story is about the fight against the cholera pandemic in 1840s–50s ‘Charles Dickens’ era’ London. It follows the pioneering outsider doctor John Snow as he challenges medical orthodoxy and lays the foundations of modern epidemiology and data science.
 
The 2pm event will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Frank McNally of An Irishman’s Diary in the Irish Times, with Dr Georgina Laragy, Dublin Cemeteries Trust Assistant Professor in Public History and Cultural Heritage, and Director, of the M.Phil in Public History and Cultural Heritage, at Trinity’s School of Histories and Humanities, and Evi Numen Kontogoni, Curator of the Old Anatomy Museum.
