Beckett Brunch 2026: Beckett, Travel and Archive

A friendly gathering to celebrate Samuel Beckett's 120th birthday and more landmarks of his life and artistic work organised by the Trinity Centre for Beckett Studies.

Do you have an interest in modern European art? Are you a Beckett fan? Any curiosity about archives? Or perhaps you wonder how travels shape creativity… Or how artists explore all of those areas… And you would be happy to spend a friendly time and break bread with a community of art lovers and scholars? The Beckett Brunch is for you!
We would be happy to welcome you on Saturday 18 April 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Institute on the Trinity College Dublin Campus for the second Beckett Brunch in Dublin. For more than 15 years, the Beckett Brunch – created by Dúnlaith Bird in Paris – has been gathering all people with an interest in the work of the Irish artist to partake in refreshing conversations on art. We hope to continue to grow this community with you in April, as we celebrate Beckett’s 120th birthday with tea, coffee, croissants, scones and pretzels.

This free event is presented by the Trinity Centre for Beckett Studies and the Beckett Summer School in partnership with the Trinity Long Room Hub, the Departments of Drama, French, and German in TCD, the Goethe Institut, the French Embassy, and the Alliance française in Dublin.
