Biography

Dr. Helena (Helen) Malone is currently affiliated to the School of Nursing & Midwifery as a Visiting Research Fellow. Helen was formerly appointed as a Research Assistant Professor with the School of Nursing & Midwifery.

Helena was awarded an MSc (1984) and PhD (1988) both from Trinity College, The University of Dublin and a Nurse Tutor Diploma from University College Dublin.

Helen was the 1st person to be awarded the role of Research Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin. Helen was also one of the 1st three nurses in Ireland with a PhD to register with the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.

Helen is published as lead author in Journal of Advanced Nursing, British Journal of Nursing, Nurse Researcher, Irish Journal of Medical Science and has acted as reviewer for BMJ Open, The Annals of Public Health and Research and The Journal of Biology and Life Science.
