Jaime Silva has a MA in History- Civilizations of Middle East and Ancient Asia, by NOVA FCSH, with a dissertation entitled “The aquatic environment of Lower Mesopotamia and its symbolic meanings (4th and 3rd millennia BC)”. His research interests are focused on Lower Mesopotamian aquatic symbols and its aquatic environment, through an interdisciplinary approach that intertwines Ancient Near East History, History of Religions, and Environmental History, Water History. Since 2020, he is an assistant researcher at CHAM- Centre for Humanities, NOVA FCSH & UAc, integrating the group “Reception of Antiquity” and the thematic line “Environmental History and the Sea”. .
