Dr. Allegra LeGrande is a physical research scientist at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and an adjunct at Columbia University Center for Climate Systems Research in New York City. She performs simulations of abrupt and extreme climate change in the past, present, and future including volcanic events, extreme freshwater forcing of the world's oceans, and atmospheric rivers. She specializes in using special model tracers that bridge the time domain into the past from the last millennium through the early Tertiary.
