Today on Trinity Monday, following a long-standing tradition,, Provost Linda Doyle stood on the steps of the Public Theatre in Front Square at 10 am to read out the names of Trinity's new Fellows and Scholars, including the award of a Professorial Fellowship for Professor Taha Yasseri.
Prof Taha Yasseri is Workday Chair and Professor Of Technology and Society at Trinity College Dublin and Technological University Dublin where he directs the Joint Centre for Sociology of Humans and Machines (SOHAM). He has interests in analysis of large-scale transactional data and conducting behavioural experiments to understand human dynamics, machines' social behaviour, government-society interactions, online political behaviour, mass collaboration and collective intelligence, information and opinion dynamics, hate speech and content moderation, collective behaviour, and online dating.
In addition to the Fellows, there were 72 new Scholars in the College – four of which are from TCD School of Social Sciences & Philosophy. Congratulations to our new Scholars and Fellows! 🥳

Professor Taha Yasseri Awarded Professorial Fellowship
Professor Taha Yasseri of the Department of Sociology was awarded a Professorial Fellowship on Trinity Monday, April 28. The award came alongside two other fellowships for the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy as well as the announcement of four Trinity Scholars from the School.
