The talk, entitled "The Human in the Machine: Myths, realities, and the future of AI", explored how we humanize machines, how technology can reinforce biases and how we can build a more fair AI future.
Professor Yasseri said "The Pint of Science is one of my favourite events. It's just amazing to speak to a mixed audience from all walks of life who care about the same things, all in a relaxed, informal, and engaging environment. In this case, it's about how AI is reshaping our lives, and how we, as members of the public, should take the driver's seat on this journey."
Pint of Science events run internationally from May 19-21 and feature researchers speaking about their research in an approachable way to members of the public in pubs and cafes throughout the country. For more information follow the link to their site below.
