Professor Gracia presently leads a research team within the Department that studies Families and Inequalities. He joined TCD's Department of Sociology in 2017 as an Assistant Professor. He studied Sociology and Demography at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (MSc, PhD) and got further PhD training at Oxford and Essex. He has been postdoctoral researcher at the European University Institute and University of Amsterdam and visiting scholar at academic institutions like NYU (New York), UCL (London), WZB (Berlin), MZES (Mannheim), INED (Paris), CSB (Antwerp) and CED (UAB, Barcelona). He is currently the lead PI or country-level PI of multiple projects funded by the European Research Council and Irish Research Council.
