Email sociology@tcd.ie GaeilgeBest-selling author Professor Erik Angner spoke about his new book, "How Economics Can Save the World" the other night, in a talk co-organised by the School and the Irish Behavioral Science and Policy Network. His books has been widely praised as offering an insight into the possibilities for economics as a driver for pragmatic solutions to some of today's most pressing problems.
Professor Angner addressed the issue of what he referred to as "anti-economics" among the general public, including a general distrust of economists, and how this attitude has hobbled the ability for people to perceive economics as a means of providing practical solutions to some of humanity's biggest challenges.
