The Department of Political Science is delighted to announce three new Assistant Professors to Trinity College Dublin. Each new staff member comes with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise in their research area. Violeta Haas (from Toulouse School of Economics)
Joseph Phillips (from Cardiff University)
Christian Gläßel (from Hertie School)

Violeta Haas is a political scientist whose research looks at the politics of belonging, studying how institutions and elites shape public perceptions and actions towards marginalized groups.

Joseph Phillips is a political psychologist whose research focuses on how the consequences of social and political identities for individuals relate to politics, and each other.

Christian Gläßel is a political scientist whose research lies at the intersection of International Relations, Conflict Studies, and Comparative Politics.
