Our PhD researchers come to Political Science at Trinity from a wide range of backgrounds and bring diverse research interests. Below, they share their experiences of doctoral study in the department.

The PhD in Political Science has made a decisive impact on my life. One of its unique features has been the large breadth of modules from which to choose. For instance, I took many modules related to data science for social sciences. These – along with the more traditional political science modules – have directly prepared me for the job that I have now (Senior Research Associate at the University of Zurich). The other PhD students and faculty also made considerable contributions to my research through weekly seminars, other events, and of course pub outings.
