The Trinity Translational Medicine Institute
The Trinity Translational Medicine Institute (TTMI), founded by the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Chemistry at Trinity College Dublin, is based at St James’s Hospital. Working with hospital partners, TTMI integrates basic biomedical and clinical research in cancer, genomics, and immunology to advance disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment.
TTMI addresses a key strategic gap by consolidating patient-focused research across Trinity College Dublin and Trinity Health Ireland (St James’s and Tallaght Hospitals). It establishes a streamlined, internationally aligned pathway that connects fundamental discovery with clinical research, forming the new Trinity Translational Drug Development Pathway.
