The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is overjoyed to celebrate the achievements of our newly elected Scholar, Cillian Foy. Cillian joined fellow students in Front Square on Trinity Monday, for the highly anticipated annual announcement by the Provost, Dr Linda Doyle.
Foundation Scholarship is the most prestigious undergraduate award at Trinity College Dublin and is presented each year to students who demonstrate exceptional knowledge in their subjects. This year, Cillian was among 89 new Trinity Scholars and 29 Fellows who received the honour. The scholarship is a distinctive feature of student life with past recipients including former president of Ireland Mary Robinson, Edmund Burke and Samuel Beckett.
Scholars enjoy significant benefits with the award, including Commons free of charge, rooms free of charge for up to nine months of the year and, where a student is not in receipt of outside scholarships or grants, fee remission for up to five years to the value of the EU fee level.
Congratulations Cillian!
