Key Capital has generously funded a series of scholarships to outstanding applicants to our MPhil in Literary Translation. This year’s scholarship winner was Isabelle Mann, who joined the MPhil after completing her undergraduate degrees in cultural anthropology and Spanish language and literature at Fordham University in New York. Isabelle then spent time teaching English as a foreign language in Madrid and Marseille.
Isabelle’s dissertation research focuses on homophonic translation and the potential applications of experimental translation methods in film translation. After completing her studies she hopes to work as a translator of Spanish and French literature.
The winner of the inaugural Key Capital Scholarship was Kinga Jurkiewicz (2022-23).
