Trinity Centre for Literary and Cultural Translation develops, promotes and supports literary and cultural translation from and into English, Irish and the other languages of the world.

Becoming a supporter of the Centre is a direct investment in our mission to engage and train student translators, as well as providing resources and residencies for established translators and researchers.

Your support will enable the Centre to:

  • Invest in translators

    • Fund travel bursaries for translators and postgraduate students
    • Support a translator-in-residence
    • Sponsor a student of literary translation
  • Invest in the professional development of translators

    • Support a translation summer school
    • Fund a masterclass or annual masterclass
    • Fund a lecture or annual lecture series
  • Invest in translations

    • Fund the translation of a novel, a collection of poems, short stories or songs
    • Sponsor an annual journal showcasing translations of new Irish writing
    • Sponsor a literary translation prize

Through our Friends and Patrons programme, there are different levels of support to choose from (each lasting 12 months).
