Mr. Daniel Gilligan
Assistant Professor, Law

Biography

Daniel is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the University of Oxford. His PhD research examined the significance of constitutional rights for private law relationships in Ireland. It was funded by the Irish Research Council and a Postgraduate Ussher Fellowship.

His writing has been published in the Dublin University Law Journal, Irish Jurist, Irish Supreme Court Review, Legal Studies, and the Modern Law Review. His research examines doctrinal and philosophical topics in private law, and at the constitutional-private law intersection. He teaches across private law and legal philosophy. He is a Co-Convenor of the Irish Jurisprudence Society (IJS), and a Co-Editor of the Dublin University Law Journal (DULJ).
