Seanad Elections
Colleague Ivana Bacik has been re-elected to the Seanad taking a seat on the Trinity Panel.
Ivana Bacik, Reid Professor of Criminal Law, Criminology and Penology at Trinity College Dublin (position previously held by Mary Robinson and President Mary McAleese) was re-elected on 1April taking the second seat on the Trinity College Dublin’s Seanad panel. Ivana, who has been a Senator since 2007 was elected alongside Senators David Norris and Lynn Ruane. She is a qualified barrister, and teaches courses in Criminal Law; Criminology; and Feminist Criminology at Trinity. Her research interests include Criminal Law and Criminology, Constitutional Law, Feminist Theories and Law, Human Rights and Equality Issues in Law. Read more here
