LL.M Students represent TCD at the Corn Adomnain International Humanitarian Law Mooting Competition

Congratulations to LL.M students Petra Marais, Heba Ismail and Carl Stoltenberg on their recent participation at the Corn Adomnáin International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Competition at UCD. Thanks also to adjunct lecturer Colin Smith, who delivers the IHL module on our LLM programmes, for assisting the team in their preparations.

The Corn Adomnáin is an annual IHL mooting competition organised by the Irish Red Cross for law students in Ireland. It gets its name from the Cáin Adomnáin, an early Irish law code regulating armed conflict promulgated by St Adomnán at a meeting of Irish and Scottish kings and clerics at the Synod of Birr, Co. Offaly, in 697 AD. It is said that the Cáin was enforced through a complicated system of curses! Thanks to the team for their hard work in representing the School of Law on such important, topical issues.
