EU Law and Access to Cultural Heritage in the Public Domain.

Guest speaker: Ariadna Matas

Ariadna contributes to the management and development of Europeana’s policies and frameworks with a strong focus on copyright and supports their implementation throughout the Europeana Network. She contributes to building copyright capacity in the cultural heritage sector through the management of the Europeana Copyright Community and supports the development of an international standard for rights information in digital cultural heritage through the Rights Statements Consortium. Ariadna studied law in Spain and has a Master's in Intellectual Property Law. Before joining Europeana, Ariadna worked for the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) on copyright matters.
