Seminar on EU Criminal Law: Cooperation and Mutual Trust Post-Brexit

In this seminar, hosted by the Law School and Trinity Research in Social Sciences (TRiSS), two scholars will discuss current research into some post-Brexit developments in EU criminal law. Amanda Kramer will examine UK-EU police and criminal justice co-operation focusing on the application of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement in areas such as extradition, policing and data sharing. The concept of ‘mutual trust’ between the Member States underpins co-operation in these and other areas of criminal justice. In his paper, David Fennelly will consider some recent developments relating to mutual trust, drawing on the case law of the Court of Justice of the EU.
