On Tuesday 2 September, Dr Suryapratim Roy published an op-ed in the Irish Examiner with Dr Rahul Sambaraju. The piece explores the recent violence experienced by members of migrant communities in Ireland and a longstanding denial of racism on the part of the media and official Ireland. Dr Roy and Dr Sambaraju argue that the media downplay racist incidents and that workplaces have been blasé about the fact that staff facing this abuse are under severe stress.
