Maurice Abrahamson Bursary

Inaugural Maurice Abrahamson Bursary

The School of Law is pleased to announce the award of the inaugural Maurice Abrahamson Bursary to three Trinity Access Junior Fresh students. The bursaries were awarded to:

  • Omotolani Sogbetun, Law
  • Darine Abuniemh, Law
  • Seamus MacDubhghlais, Joint Honour Law with Political Science

Maurice Abrahamson (1927-2014) graduated from Trinity’s School of Law in 1948. He qualified as a barrister in 1949 and pursued a long and successful career in business before returning to practice law at the age of 70. Maurice was also a leading figure in the history of Irish Jewry.

The Maurice Abrahamson Bursary has been established by his widow, Joyce and son Edwin Abrahamson in honour of his memory. The School of Law wishes to extend its sincere thanks to the Abrahamson family for their support.
