Energy and Environmental Economics

Research in energy and environmental economics at Trinity explores how individuals, businesses and societies make decisions about energy use, efficiency, and sustainability. The research also looks at how different workers and households are affected by the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Overview

This research looks at energy-related behaviours, policies, and technologies, examining how information and incentives can support the shift to cleaner, more efficient energy systems. The research furthermore addresses how policies aimed at combatting climate change impact different workers and households, and how these policies can be designed to support efficiency and minimize adverse distributional impacts.
