Thinking of applying to the MSc in Economic Policy at Trinity? Below you’ll find everything you need to know about entry requirements, documentation, and the application process.
Admission Requirements
Applicants should normally hold a Level 8 Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or above) in any discipline, along with at least five years of policy-related experience.
Specific qualifications in economics are not required. Applicants with a Level 7 qualification and eight years of relevant experience may also be considered on a case-by-case basis by the Dean of Graduate Studies.
Application Procedure
All applications must be submitted through the online application portal. Supporting documents must be in English or accompanied by an official English translation.
You will need to upload:
- Official academic transcript
- Two recommendation letters (professional references are acceptable if academic references are not available)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Personal statement
- Completed application form

Deadline for submission: 31 July 2025
Late applications may be considered from strong candidates, subject to availability of places.
Programmes will only run subject to reaching the minimum required number of participants.
