"Fiscal Policy, Financial Sector Policy and Economic Growth" was held in honour of Patrick Honohan's contributions to Irish economic policy.
Opening remarks were made by Philip Lane (European Central Bank) and Patrick Guiry (RIA) before the conference began. The first session was under the theme of "Fiscal Policy" and featured a paper reading by Barra Roantree, chaired by Alan Barrett (ESRI).
Session 2 was "Financial Sector Policy" and featured a paper by Laura Boyd, Niall McGeever, Tara McIndoe-Calder and Fergal McCann (Central Bank of Ireland). It was chaired by Head of Department, Agustín Bénétrix.
Session 3 was "Growth Policy" and involved a paper reading by Martina Lawless (ESRI) and chaired by Rowena Pecchenino (University of Maynooth).
The conference concluded with remarks from John FitzGerald and Patrick Honohan.
