How will our economy adapt to AI?
This was the primary question posed by Dr Jian Cao to a captivated audience in the Synge Theatre on Thursday 9th October. Dr Cao looked at Ireland's involvement in the AI market and identified industries and jobs that were most at risk to AI's rise in our society. He also explored the future of AI and how it might positively impact the way in which we all live.
The talk was followed by a lively Q&A with the audience. Thanks to Dr Cao for a fascinating evening and Professor Agustin Bénétrix for hosting.
This lecture was part of the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy’s Autumn Series, which continues on Thursday, 16 October, with the Department of Political Science on 'Democracy and AI: Navigating the Political Risks'.
