Professor Davide Romelli, Head of the Department, moderated the short event on Thursday afternoon. He thanked the students for their hard work and dedication to the internships and mentioned that he hoped the work had inspired them to take the path of economics research in their future careers.
Since 2025, up to ten students per year have taken part, each working for six weeks with a member of staff on an ongoing research project. The School of Social Sciences and Philosophy will fund one position (under the Grattan Research Internship Programme) in 2026 and 2027.
Registration for next summer's internships will be open during Hilary Term.
