The School of Social Sciences and Philosophy’s first Autumn Public Lecture Series, entitled "Democracy at a Crossroads", concluded this October, bringing audiences together for discussions on the challenges and possibilities facing democracy today.

The Department of Economics contributed to the series with The Wealth Divide, where Dr Marvin Suesse explored how economic inequality impacts elections.

Other topics included the moral limits of majority rule, social media's influence on political engagement, and global election trends.
