A team of researchers from Trinity College Dublin has launched the first CoastSnap station in Dublin Bay at Booterstown. The innovative citizen science project enables visitors to use their smartphones to capture and upload photos that help scientists monitor coastal change, biodiversity, and environmental conditions over time.
The initiative forms part of a global network of CoastSnap stations and will support long-term monitoring of Dublin Bay's unique coastal habitats.
