Data Detectives (Computer Science)

At Data Detectives, students use coding and data to carry out their own mini research project.

Across the week, they'll work with real datasets and learn how to ask meaningful questions, investigate patterns, and build evidence-based conclusions. Using Python, students will explore topics like sport, the environment, behavior, or trends—testing ideas and seeing what the data actually supports.

But the focus isn't just on analysis. Students will also learn how to communicate what they find—turning their work into clear visuals, explanations, and short presentations.

By the end of the week, each student (or group) will complete a small research-style project and share their conclusions.
