Throughout 2023, Trinity Walton Club will deliver a range of camps that immerse STEM curious teens into fun and interactive physics, math, technology and engineering sessions. Each camp is designed to challenge learners to work collaboratively with peers, think creatively and create solutions, while enhancing their STEM knowledge, skills and curiosity.
As a member of the Trinity Walton Club community, you are sure to grow your curiosity, make lasting STEM connections and build a standout STEM portfolio.
Find more information about the specific's camps, see below. Apply today!
This summer on campus in Trinity's STEM faculty, take your place in a community of STEM-curious teens, who'll be actively making STEM connections, building skills and confidence, and growing their STEM identity.
Each camp offers a unique opportunity to excite and support you in developing key skills while engaging in fun and challenging STEM educational activities.
On this camp, you will navigate through the stages of engineering design to build a catapult and buggy launching system powered by a coded Arduino microcontroller.
On this camp, your problem-solving and critical thinking strategies will be put to the test, as you step into the role of scientific advisor at a mock trial and present scientific evidence that you've gathered while investigating a real-world collision scenario.
On this camp, you will use your STEM to design and build a chain reaction machine, (Rude Goldberg machine) to complete a task. Teamwork, communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving will all be tested and developed.
On this camp, you will especially focus on developing your programming skills in Python and Arduino languages, while developing, building and presenting a sensor for use in a smart 'connected' home.
On this camp, you develop your research capacity skills, while designing your own experiments to study electric charge, stress and strain, electromagnetic waves and electromagnetic force.
On this camp, you will work in teams to take your STEM ideas to the next level. This camp is blended and provides each student with a virtual platform to collate and shape their ideas, in July. Then in August, they will join fellow innovators and mentors on campus to further brainstorm, refine and extend their innovative solutions to societal challenges. They’ll also explore what it takes to bring your idea forward to the market.
LAUNCH, COLLIDE, REACT, CONNECTED and STEAM+ICE: All current second level students
PROBE: Only for 4th, 5th, and 6th-year students
Student Testimonial
The whole Walton Camp was a great experience! I enjoyed each section of the course and learnt a lot. The instructors were very good at explaining things’
It surpassed my expectations. It made me look at all the subjects in a different light and realised that the four subject all tie in together.

I thought the camp was extremely enjoyable, I enjoyed working in teams and being around people interested in STEM I also enjoyed learning things outside of the classroom and how STEM applies in everyday life – I will definitely be returning.

‘I believe the best experience I had with this virtual camp was getting to meet other people and talking with them, knowing they have the same interest in STEM like me.
