In Assemble, students explore how coding, sensors, and data can be used to design the cities of the future.
Across the week, they'll investigate how smart systems help manage things like lighting, traffic, transport, energy use, and environmental monitoring. Students will learn coding through practical challenges, work with Arduino and sensors, and build systems that respond to what is happening around them.
Activities across the week may include: modelling systems and behaviours using code, exploring data and how cities use it to make decisions, building Arduino-based smart devices, using sensors to monitor light, temperature, movement, or other conditions, designing and presenting their own smart city solution.
The week ends with a showcase where students present a smart system or device they have built and explain the problem it is designed to solve.
