An in conversation event with writers Mark O'Connell and Dan Kois led by Prof David Kenny from the School of Law.

This event will discuss the craft and process of writing for magazines with two experienced magazine writers. Dan Kois is an American magazine writer, novelist, and editor, who served as an editor at Slate for many years, and has been a staff writer at the New York Times magazine, New York magazine, and various other outlets. Mark O'Connell is an Irish author and journalist, who has published, alongside several books, magazine pieces in The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, the The New York Review of Books, and many others. During Dan's time at Slate, he hired Mark as a regular culture columnist, and they worked on many features together in that time. In conversation with David Kenny from the School of Law, they will discuss the challenges and opportunities of this form of writing, and share the fruits of their many years of experience.

This event is run in accordance with Trinity’s Dignity and Respect policy, and its commitment to nurturing a respectful and inclusive research culture.
