Screening and discussion of The Sound of Hope - an intimate portrait of the human stories behind EU humanitarian action.

Please register here.

As one of the leading humanitarian aid donors globally, the European Union delivers needs-based assistance to people affected by human-induced and natural hazards all over the world. In times of such crises, EU humanitarian aid can often do more than help people survive. It can help them regain a sense of normalcy.
The Sound of Hope, a 15-minute documentary part of the European Union’s communication campaign Voices of Humanity, follows three EU-supported humanitarian workers as they deliver assistance in some of the world’s most challenging environments and reveals the many forms EU humanitarian aid can take: from healthcare to education, to spaces where people can feel safe.
Join us on November 10th for a dedicated film screening.
The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Petros Kremonas, Communication Campaigns Manager at the European Commission’s Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Department, Dr Rachel Hoare, Director of the Trinity Centre for Forced Migration Studies, Dr Tylor Brand, Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Dr Ghaiath Hussein, Medicine, and Prof Gillian Wylie, Peace Studies.

This event is run in accordance with Trinity’s Dignity and Respect policy, and its commitment to nurturing a respectful and inclusive research culture.
