A one day conference organised by the Centre for International History in the School of Histories and Humanities and funded by a Research Boost Grant.

This is a major international, interdisciplinary conference examining the dynamics behind the emergence of right-wing authoritarianism throughout the world.  It brings together twelve scholars from five continents to examine in comparative context the cases of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, the Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Hungary, India, Israel, the Philippines, Uganda, and the U.S.  It is open to the general public.
