Meet Sergio Romero

Sergio Romero Profile

Sergio is joining SOHAM as part of the COOLNET Project, where he will support Guillaume Falmagne in developing a multiplayer game designed to serve as a laboratory for large-scale human collective behaviour. His work will focus on the GDD (Game Design Document), translating core game mechanics into playable prototypes and iterating on them until reaching an MVP (Minimum Viable Product).

With many years of experience across small, medium, and large AAA videogame studios, Sergio brings strong industry expertise to the project. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UPV (Universitat Politècnica de València). During his final year, he joined the OGL (Oulu Game Lab) in Finland as part of his Erasmus programme, where he worked on the development of a videogame and co-founded a small startup, that secured funding, with his peers.

Leader of the COOLNET project and research fellow at SOHAM, Dr Guillaume Falmagne, said:

"After a year or two of preparation, we are so excited to be starting the development of the video game that is going to be the star of the COOLNET show. And Sergio has a fantastic combination of excellent experience and creative talent to bring it to life!"
