Mhair an cúrsa 20 seachtain agus rinne foghlaimeoirí scrúdú béil de chuid Theastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) ag deireadh an chúrsa.

 
Ag labhairt ag an ócáid, mhol Linda gach duine a ghlac páirt sa chúrsa: 
 
‘Is mór an inspioráid é daoine a fheiceáil ag glacadh ama chun a gcuid scileanna a fhorbairt, go háirithe nuair a rinne siad an cúrsa taobh lena gcuid dualgas oibre laethúil. 
 
‘Tá sé go hiontach a bheith i gcuideachta an Dr Philip Mac a’ Ghoill, a scríobh agus a mhúin an cúrsa, agus Alswyn Ní Aonghusa Ní Dhúill, ionadaí ó TEG, a bhronn na teastais. 
 
‘Gabhaim buíochas le hOifig na Gaeilge, Oifig an Rúnaí, agus le Breda Walls, Stiúrthóir na Seirbhísí Mac Léinn, as a gcuid oibre chun an cúrsa seo a chur ar fáil. Buíochas freisin leis na bainisteoirí a spreag agus a thacaigh lena mbaill foirne chun páirt a ghlacadh ann!’

It’s nice to start the new year with a celebration and this week Linda attended an event to congratulate those who have completed the first Irish Language training course for Trinity staff. 

The course ran for 20 weeks and learners completed a Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) oral exam on completion of the course.

Speaking at the event, Linda congratulated everyone who took part: 

‘It is really inspiring to see people taking time to develop their skills, especially as the training was done in addition to regular day-to-day responsibilities.   

‘It is great to be joined by Dr Philip Mac a’ Ghoill who created and taught the course and Alswyn Ní Aonghusa Ní Dhúill, representing TEG, who is presenting the certificates. 

‘Thank you to the Irish Language Office, the Secretary’s Office, and to Breda Walls, Director of Student Services, for their work in making this course available. Thanks too to the managers who encouraged and supported their team members to participate!’
