Freshers’ Week saw Front Square transformed into a hub of activity as Trinity's 170+ clubs and societies gathered for the annual Freshers' Fair. The Fair offers new students an opportunity to discover the many ways they can get involved in college life, whether through sport, music, volunteering, politics, performance, or many other interests. The Orientation Hub in the Public Theatre also offered students a chance to find out about the many supports and services available to them.

During her visit to Freshers’ Fair, Linda met with new and current students, learning about the clubs and societies they are involved in, and their first impressions of student life. She also delivered the annual ‘Provost’s welcome address’ to incoming first-years and postgraduates in the Ed Burke Theatre, where she reflected on the importance of community, participation, and belonging. 

Alongside welcoming new students, Linda joined new colleagues at induction events for incoming academic and professional staff. Trinity welcomes more than 500 new staff members each year, who bring a wealth of expertise and experience. The induction events provide an opportunity for colleagues to learn more about the university and connect with one another.
