Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience
Trinity College Institute of Neuroscience (TCIN) is an interdisciplinary research and teaching institute.
It serves as the focal point for neuroscience activity at Trinity, bringing together researchers from multiple disciplines (biology, psychology, medicine, biochemistry, pharmacology, genetics, bioengineering, computer sciences.) to study the nervous system in health and disease.
Its guiding vision involves moving “from molecules to mind” i.e., linking basic molecular and cellular neuroscience with behaviour, cognition, and clinical neuroscience.
TCIN also has a strong emphasis on translation and impact: applying fundamental neuroscience insights toward better understanding and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders.
