IMPACTIVE

The EU-funded IMPACTIVE project (HORIZON-HLTH-2021-IND-07-01 – Green pharmaceuticals) is piloting mechanochemistry to enable more sustainable production of pharmaceutical ingredients. This innovative, cost-effective method uses mechanical stress to drive chemical reactions while reducing energy demand, CO₂ emissions and solvent use. The project’s main goal is to demonstrate a viable pathway for greener drug manufacturing in line with the EU Green Deal.
