Materials to Support Awaress Amongst People in Prison of the CPT
Prison Oversight: Improving Rights in Europe (POIRE) is a project funded by the European Research Council and led by PI Prof. Mary Rogan. Working with Dr. Niamh Wade and Dr. Sophie van der Valk, as well as colleagues in Romania, Spain and Belgium, this research project has created a series of materials aimed at supporting people in prison to become more aware of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (the CPT), its work and its remit. These are available in English, Romanian, and Flemish at present and include a briefing paper, slides for use on in-prison TV channels, and a workshop.
